This report is extremely disturbing. I have searched the Free Republic Archives and have found no other threads pertaining to this disastrous cover-up. Present & past inhabitants of Treasure Island are & were at great risk of overexposure a plethora of hazardous substances and radiation. I personally spent more than 36 hours in the irradiated area of Enewetok, Marshall Islands in 1980. I spent at least six months on two occasions at Treasure Island... I became inexplicably very sick in 2004... My prayer are up for all who have habitated on Treasure Island since the US Navy originally moved in.

My brother received training on Treasure Island in the 70’s while in the Navy, six years ago he almost died from a brain tumor growing around his brain stem. Now I have to wonder if there is a cause and effect.
