Before law: Nobody's gonna take your guns. Stop being so paranoid.
After law: Turn 'em in, M-F-s! It's the law now!

If they didn’t register their guns how does the gov know who has them? Hmmm?

If they didnt register their guns how does the gov know who has them? According to another story I read, these are the people who actually attempted to register them, but acted past the deadline. Nice reward for trying to obey the law, isn't it?

Time for massive civil disobedience.
CT gun owners must hang together, or they shall surely hang separately.

From the article I think that the letter went out to people who tried to register them but for some reason failed.

"assault weapon". That is laughable. In the rights hands a spoon can be used as a weapon to assault.
I know it's easier to say than do, but I would remove my weapon from the state. Along with myself, my family, my belongings and my $$$. That state is going to turn into a hellhole very soon and I wouldn't want to be disarmed when its happening.

IOW taking without compensation (via regulation)
The USSC already ruled you can’t take wihout compensation by using regulation.
Famous case where a city tried to control developement after the fact by regulation via prohibiting use of land they could not afford to buy.

They should move and take their guns with them, their money with them and their skills and expertise with them and never buy another product from a COnnecticut based company.
I will never buy a product or use a service centered in Connecticut.

What I can’t understand is how the state can “take” a legally acquired piece of property from somebody without due compensation - aside from the Constitutional Issues involved.

Indeed.
I’d give them an address of a ten acre field somewhere with a fortress in the middle, and lots of open ground.
After it was over, you can tweet, “We changed our mind at the last minute and decided to destroy those weapons. Sorry your guys made the trip out. Did any make the trip back?”

1. A copy of the Constitution
2. A photo of my middle finger.
3. A note that says MOLON LABE MOTHERF&^*ER
