Point is, nationalism is just a natural human condition, same as capitalism. If you’ve got to have a government it better be a nationalist government or otherwise why have it? The 20 Century is the story of attempts to deny this.
Of course, nationalism is not ethnicism: the idea that one ethnos has rights to injure another. Nationalism is simply the right to assembly. It is very tiresome to have it confused with nazism. For example, hundreds of ethnic Russians volunteered on the Maidan; there is one Belorussian and one Armenian among the fatalities. One of the Maidan leaders, Klichko, is a Jew. People of many ethnic backgrounds form a nation.
