You say "regardless of their political affiliation", Dr. Carson, but the problem is that at least one-and-one-half of the two major political parties in this country are actively opposed to a free-enterprise system based on personal responsibility and equal treatment; and are actively engaged in the process of giving away our personal freedom in order to enhance the size and scope of the government. People's political affiliations are PART of the problem.
PS - I actually agree with most everything you say in this column, Dr. Carson, but I am afraid I do not share your optimism for our future. I will try to do my part. I will campaign for, and will vote for, any candidate who actually supports our Constitution and our individual freedom. It’s just that I have serious doubts as to whether such a person will be running for office - any office.
