Asshole needs to be strung up from the nearest tree. The founders meant is as they wrote it, and for this jackass to suggest such a change is absurd. I've have enough of these pricks who've served on the SCOTUS who believe that such restrictions should be set upon the civilians of our country in direct contrast to the meanings set out in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. What this asshat wants is for the citizens of this country to be subservient to the government, and that is exactly the opposite of what our founders intended.

It's getting closer to the time that will come to clean out the scum in this country, and jackoffs like Stevens are simply one of those who need to be “cleansed”, IMO.

The first person to be downgraded to exile is Chief Justice Roberts who sold out the people of this Nation(not his) for a briefcase of money to deposit in the Bank of the Vatican on Malta. Justic Stevens...pfft. Do these people EVER read ANY of the Founding Fathers' publications, correspondence, writings, journals that discuss the right of armed self-defence? How do they get through law school without reading those documents? Sheesh, I could quote Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Madison, et al, in their belief that a person should have arms for simple self-defence.

Plus, do they not look at those regions who can carry and lessor crime?

I'm only made it as far as a GED, but have read their writings that cleary state that people have the "right" to depend themselves, not just be part of a militia. I have never understood these so-called academics who don't have such a basic understanding of the Constitutional supporting documents that CLEARLY states such a right. What happens in their thinking?

The various state national guard units ARE NOT the militia addressed by the 2nd amendment. They are part of the standing army, controlled by the federal government.

- I believe Allen Dershowitz agrees that the 2nd Amendment is an individual right - he is usually an easy, relaxed and logical person to talk to or debate with on air.

- I recall talking with Dershowitz some years ago when Bob Grant was at WOR; Bob’s producer had me on speed dial for certain topics.

- I am on a lot of those archived tapes from WABC and WOR; the way to get on Bob Grant’s good side was to always start by asking who he was that day. (GET OFF MY PHONE!)
