I put the wrong date by accident. The article came out today. And it shows the desperation of Cornyn, Rove and their enablers in the liberal media.

I am very pleased that Ted Cruz was elected in 2012, but IMO if the primaries had run at their normal scheduled times I believe it would have been VERY difficult for him to have accomplished what he did.
Various groups sued claiming the redistricting maps the legislature put in place were unfair or racist or whatever the complaint and the primary in Texas was pushed back many weeks. The Cruz campaign benefited greatly from the delay, his first radio commercial was fantastic and the momentum just built from there.
The Texas 2014 primary is the first week on March, when it historically takes place and early voting is already open, I do not believe that time is on anyone’s side this time except the incumbents.
That being said 7 challengers may split the vote enough to take it to a runoff, but will the electorate coalesce around someone other than Cornyn, I know what everyone hopes but will lightning strike twice in Texas?
Cornyn’s radio adds have been compelling even if most here thing the are tripe, you only have to convince 50% + 1 every six years as a Senator.

Thx, jimbo.

I know Stockman was taking flak for a “disappearance” several days ago. Turned out he was overseas and playing games with the DC press about not reporting it. The faulty dateline made today’s story made it appear possibly as an appendage to that contest between Stockman and reporters, (Politico types.)

From the article:

“The day after he mounted his challenge, Club for Growth, a prominent group that has been funding tea party candidates, said it was staying out of the Texas race. Other tea party-linked groups, such as FreedomWorks and the Senate Conservatives Fund, have since stayed neutral, while Cornyn has been endorsed by influential conservative groups such as the National Rifle Association and Texas Right to Life.”

As usual the first thing I look at is the source. The source for this hit piece says it all for me. Fit only for the garbage bin. Actually I’m tickled that the leftists have their panties all in a bunch over candidates like Steve Stockman.
