In addition to physical work on the farm in the afternoons, weekends and holidays, he was regularly charged with what his father refers to as "incredibly boring stuff," like picking stones from a field, just to improve his psyche.
Every time he hurt himself, his father would tease him until he stopped crying. Eventually, he came to believe pain is cool. "My father taught me at an early age to tackle painI think that's my strength. I can go for hours in pain without giving up," he said.

Places with real winter always do well in the winter olympics.
Imagine that.
Of course it helps if you are totally dominant in one sport, like the Dutch are in speed skating.

Bayern shouldn’t have too much trouble against Arsenal, you would think.

Imagine that.
Of course it helps if you are totally dominant in one sport, like the Dutch are in speed skating.

Like my drill instructor used to say...Pain is weakness leaving your body.
Norwegian saying: “There’s no such thing as cold weather, only not enough clothes.”
I think the judges are passing the USA by because of all that gayness obama sent over.
The clock is a stern judge. (Bode Miller, Ted Ligety, Andrew Weibrecht)
Norway has been following Sara Palin's advice since before she gave it..
Some pains are Ma Nature telling you it's time to stop for a while.
