MOSCOW, Feb 17 (PRIME) -- The European market share of Russian gas giant Gazprom increased to 29.9% in 2013 from about 26.0% in 2012, the company said in a statement seen by PRIME on Monday.
The consumption in the region fell 1% to 541 billion cubic meters while Gazproms supplies grew 16.3% to 161.5 billion cubic meters. European countries gas imports fell 0.6% to 253 billion cubic meters and their own output fell 1.4% to 288.1 billion cubic meters.
Gazprom expects to keep the amount of exports flat at 161.5 billion cubic meters or at least at 150 billion cubic meters in 2014.
