Want to see a moderate Republican grow a spine and unleash a whole new world of pain on their opponents? Challenge him from the right. Fighting leftists? Eh, not so much.

Good one!!!

Yeah, the ol’ Romney whoopass was entirely reserved for his primary challengers, especially Newt Gingrich. Once he had the nomination, it was like he had no fight left (probably worn out from battle with the right).

I respect ANY candidate’s will to win, and that includes Romney running a tough campaign. The fact that he literally pulled out all the stops to destroy Newt? That’s politics. What infuriates me is the way the moderates seem to reserve their ire solely for the right.

The moderates campaign like they want small government, but there’s little evidence to support their claim. They currently claim there is nothing they can do, because Democrats control the senate and presidency. Yet, we saw how the Republican moderates ruled during the Bush era. Did they roll back government? NO. They constantly expanded it.

Voters should look at Senator Cornyn’s voting record and decide if he’s done a good job before reelecting him. I know there’s a lot of frustration with our leaders, and I think all of us are served by frequent turnover in DC. Every time an incumbent goes down, it helps reign in the others.

That said, I hope we can make peace after our party nominees are selected. If Senator Cornyn survives, he’s a far, far cry better than any Democrat, aka Marxist, in my opinion. I would have no problem whatsoever voting for him if I was a Texan. On the other hand, I hope he doesn’t do like others who lost their primaries and endorse the Democrat. If he does, I guess it will prove we were right about him all along.
