Interesting line up, except for SOTU. I wouldn't waste the electricity to turn the TV on to watch that.

MTP
Romney? He seems to be trying to get himself on TV more. I have a suspicion he may be thinking about running again. Of course, his comments following the previous election may come back to haunt him — that he didn't really want to run for the presidency; that he really didn't want to win.

A recent online poll listed some 32 potentials for the GOP. And that wasn't even a comprehensive list. Sadly, 3/4ths of them couldn't get 100 Electoral Votes if they did get the nomination.

TW
Who are those 2 and why are they on?

Kevin Spacey? House of Cards. Netflix is showing Season 2. Spacey’s character is even more devious and cunning and criminal as the new VP. That is a GREAT series and probably pretty close to the kinds of back-room dealings and backstabbing that does go on. (I am already at Episode 6.)

FNS
Lee could be interesting to watch. He could be one to watch out for in the coming months. I don't recall hearing him express interest in running for the presidency, but he has been prominent with the Tea Party faction.

MTP
DeMint on, so the topic of the morning must be immigration reform.

Sen. Paul was in Texas, hanging around Hispanic events and asking George P. Bush for advice on Hispandering. P's name seems have become quite prominent in many FR threads.

Apparently, the Bush family missed the recent poll that showed just under 50% still blame the last Bush presidency for the current economic problems. Only about 35% blame the Obama presidency. P. may have a lot of support in Texas for Land Commissioner, but the Bush name is still toxic in national politics.

Any thoughts on a ticket for us in 2016?

I’m curious as to what political party the Kevin Spacey character plays? If he is portrayed as an devious and cunning and criminal... No doubt he MUST be Republican?

It sounds like you enjoy the show, so I won’t rain on your parade. It’s just that I couldn’t watch a Hollywood writer’s portrayal of politics because chances are, I’ve already read the script and it Leftist. I say that for every political portrayal, not just House of Cards.
