The home office of the Kansas City Star is in Kansas City, Missouri; but the only thing separating it from Kansas City, Kansas is a river, but both cities go right up to the river’s edge as if one city - though, the Kansas City, Missouri side always seemmed the less prospoerous side to me.

The Metro area is basically three pretty distinct areas. KCMO, KCKS, and Johnson County. They are physically close but worlds apart.
