I spent 35 years as a banker. Banks and their regulators annoy me and the danger of doing any kind of business with them cannot be underestimated,

When the feds closed the last bank where I worked (nothing wrong with it BTW) U.S. Marshalls and State Cops showed up to contain and detain the employees.

Body armor, select-fire weapons, the whole assault team thing.

Scary. Sounds like story deserves a thread in itself.

My wife worked at Columbia Savings and Loan when the Feds seized it, early 90’s. The S&L had shuttered one of their two adjacent buildings, as a cost cutting measure, six months earlier. The day the Feds showed up, they came in heavy, like a ton of bricks - to the vacant building. It took a few minutes for them to realize their mistake. When they crossed the street to the actual headquarters, they encountered a bunch of gals on their cigarette break, barely able to contain their giggles. Too bad it was before cell phone video ;)
