The Native Americans on the reservation have had fully automatic assault weapons brought home from Vietnam and also smuggled across from Canada for 50 years.. NO SAFE ACT THERE ON Akwesasne coz it violates NY and federal treaties. The natives are restless.

The standard rule for design is that FORM follows FUNCTION.
Now the Politicians believe they can modify the FUNCTION by ruling against the FORM. No wonder they fail at design work.

I don’t give much credence to New York’s governor and state legislators. Their pet law still wouldn’t have stopped Adam Lanza.
The AR-15 can still be legally bought in NY and you don’t even have to register it - once you’ve made the necessary modifications to the firearm.
I think I’d prefer to just vote with my feet.
