Nit picking here for sure, but the thing that's wrong with saying "I support traditional marriage" is the unsaid implication that there's any kind EXCEPT marriage between one man and one woman. There isn't any other kind of marriage.

Exactly! I love what Cruz is doing and am behind him 100 percent. I hope he bears in mind:

Some "social conservatives" approach it from a limited government standpoint, and understand that LIMITING government to prevent it from punishing a baker who refuses to bake a cake for a gay couple, or punishing the private owners of a hall who refuse to rent out for a "gay" marriage, or punishing employers, adoption agencies, landlords, or any other private entity for not going along with the pretend "marriage" of two homosexuals -- that limiting government from doing that kind of punishing, is the right and MORAL path.

It's frustrating that there are "social conservatives" who want to make gay marriage "illegal." That is like making unicorns illegal.

The better solution is make it illegal for anyone to punish people who peacefully, civilly, politely tell open homosexuals, "Go somewhere else."
