I think the bigger issue here is that the reporter obviously thinks that Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders take rank over Ray Davies and The Kinks.
If Chrissie Hynde was merely a groupie, oh wait, I mean a non-famous person, then the headlines would declare it to be Ray Davies' illegitimate daughter.
However, since the mama is famous, he's merely a sperm donor.
