On July 29, 2013, the Department of the Army in a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation, Solicitation Number W15QKN13T8513, asked the General Services Administration to procure "592,825 (approx) AK Rifle Magazines: 7.62x39mm Caliber, New Production, Steel, 30 Round Capacity". That many magazines would require 17.8 million rounds just fill each magazine once.
So the question remains, what the heck does Obama plan to do with half a million AK magazines? Walk them to Mexico, like the rifles in Fast and Furious? Auction them on eBay? Sell them to Cuba and Venezuela for cigars and heating oil?
Or maybe Obama plans to use them in arming his Civilian National Security Force? Nah, that's just wacky right wing, conspiracy nonsense.

I’m thinking of running for president in 2016. The two main planks of my platform are to overturn all of Obama’s executive orders and then have a giant fire sale of ammo, magazines, and all the surplus office stuff that comes from shutting down the DOE, EPA, and other federal agencies.

Nope....a gift of sorts for the Aghan gov’t fighters. Purely for their benefit. We didn’t hand them the money because of so much corruption in every deal they make.

Great way to nullify the 2nd Amendment w/o using the law or any force at all.
Our Prez has (and has always had) very deep reservations about Democracy.
When you use the law you have to speak to others and CONVINCE people.
He’s not good at that, and he is very, very different from the rest of us. His assumptions about life and government are totally opposite as average Americans.

The Obama administration needs them to keep the Taliban and Al-Qaeda “rebels” properly armed.
The do. But an AK mag is a b*tch to get in. Sort of rocks in. I can’t do it fast.
