This post is way off.

True enough, but if you ask a liberal if they're tolerant, diverse, etc etc, the answer is undoubtedly "Yes".

Mrs WBill has a friend that went to some AIDS charity thing recently. They hit us up to buy tickets (the answer was an unsurprising no....)

Anyhoo, I was making polite small talk with this person, and asked if their tickets were considered a tax writeoff. This person said, "I dunno, I didn't buy mine. I was comped".

Liberalism in a nutshell. They'll not only spend other people's money to support something they like, but also hit everyone else up for the same support - without investing anything of their own. And, they're perfectly fine with this, feeling smug and self-righteous about their tolerance, charity, etc etc etc the entire time.

Those are what I’d classify as the “sheeperals”.

Their motivations, and their intellectual examination of any issue, doesn’t go beyond that feeling of self-righteousness they get for supporting “doing something nice”.
