Rand Paul: Texas will turn Democratic in 10 years if Republicans don't change

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told Republicans at an event in Houston that Texas would “be a Democratic state within 10 years if you don't change,” according to reports of the event.

Paul, speaking at a dinner Saturday hosted by the Harris County Republican Party, told members that the party needed to adapt and be more inclusive in order to continue to hold the Lone Star State.

“That means we evolve. It doesn’t mean we give up on what we believe in, but it means we have to be a welcoming party.” Paul said. “We have to welcome people of all races. We need to welcome people of all classes — business class, working class.”

But it wasn’t just people of different ethnicities and incomes that Paul wanted to include.

“We need to have people with ties and without ties, with tattoos and without tattoos — with earrings, without earrings,” he said. “We need a more diverse party. We need a party that looks like America.”

Paul said that Immigration could be one area that Republicans could adjust their position in order to attract more people to the party.

Rand paul has finally drunk the democrat kool aid. Lets turn into democrat lite!

"“That means we evolve. It doesn’t mean we give up on what we believe in, but it means we have to be a welcoming party.” Paul said. “We have to welcome people of all races. We need to welcome people of all classes — business class, working class.”

Excuse me, but when have we not been welcoming people of all races and classes?

Couldn’t agree more. While I think Libertarianism is terribly dangerous for a society, he’s going full on Dem. So be MORE like the Dems and get Dem votes? Seriously??

The idea of welcoming has changed from treated equally to given special treatment above and beyond what law and common sense allow.

Lots of states are because dems are moving out of the big cities and polluting the rest of the nation with their political agendas. Just because they move it doesn’t mean they are going to change the way they vote.

OK Rand Paul, you have convinced me.

I will now support amnesty for illegal aliens, marriage for homosexuals, spending money financed by debt, unlimited abortion and Federal government control over the economy.

Now Rand, I am really inclusive.

But I do not understand how that helps America.

I would think that all it would take is for welfare parasites and hipsters of the major cities to outnumber the rural folk.

Actually a nonsensical speech because what would be ‘welcoming’ to one could be repelling to another. And many of his policy positions will repell conservatives who’ve supported the Republican party for decades.

Rand Paul is definitely not the one to take a consistent, conservative message to all voters who support or might support the party.

the pastor of a particular catholic parish in texas preached on voting Catholic values for the last pres election.

It’s in the Catechism. The Catholic church instructs against participating in abortion by electing lawmakers who deal in killing innocent people for power. No names. None needed. It’s all public information.

Many Mexicans in the congregation and with their children in the parish school.

They pulled everyone out, just on that sermon.

In Mexico, the Republicans are bad, dems good, in terms of Catholicism.

Because our country, our government, does nothing to ensure these people assimilate, and because these people have no intention of assimilating, they vote as if in Mexico. there is no reason to believe that will change.

So, at the risk of going to hell, and sending their kids to hell, by perpetuating a participation in wholesale abortion, these people will not vote republican, not the Catholic ones.

THe most conservative Mexicans are not interested in the Conservative platform in this country, nor are their parents nor their kids, nor their friends.

rand Paul is stupid.

he is ignorant of the situation.

He is unaware that his hair looks like a wild rodent crawled onto his head, dug its claws in and died and is in a state of permanent rigor mortis up there and that no one can look at him nor take him seriously.

That is how unaware of the illegal immigrant situation is in Texas.

He is an idiot, he will never be a contender for president because no one knows what he will do next.

he has no regard fro the constitution.

And BTW, no republican can win who doesn’t take the country back to the wide screen and look at the truth. The return to Constitutional principals is the only way a republican is going to get into the White House.

Ad that means a whole lot more than a casual acquaintanceship with the document and its tenets, such as Rand Paul weirdo commands.

These statements alone should finally relegate Paul to damaged good status amongst conservatives.

Any Republican who builds his campaign on the betrayal of conservatives and conservatism is a rank traitor and should be denounced as such.

Rand Paul is finished as a Republican, let alone a conservative, and he knows it. I would guess that all of this is laying the groundwork to run as a Democrat in 2016.

So the Republican Party must become more Dem-lite to keep Texas from turning Democrat.

==

What about real opposition? Maybe, if the Republican Party tried to become the party of opposition to the Democrat liberalism, it might find more success.

Perhaps, Senator Paul has been inside the beltway a tad too long. He needs to get out in fly-over country. He might find that becoming Dem-lite is not what most people want.

This call for amnesty tells me he’s serious about a POTUS run.

Watch, they all will be. Hispanics coming out to vote in swing electoral states.

<>Another republican politician who DOES NOT get it.

Does not Rand and his idiotic staff not understand that these third world illegal criminal scum are DNA hard-wired to vote for RATs who give away goodies.

Amnesty will truly be checkmate for our Republic.

Any candidate that shows any weakness on this issue should be scorned and denigrated.

he is ignorant of the situation.

What do you expect? His mentor is Senator Rubio, whose mentor is Senator Graham, whose mentor is Senator McCain whose best friends from across the aisle include Senator Schumer.

Birds of a feather ...

Problem is we welcome people interested in working and good shared value.

They are few.

Where exactly would the Civil Rights Act be without every Republican voting for it?

It’s people like this that convince me what we’ve tried to do here is over.

What an ignoramus.
