Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley told AP that he has no problem with Moore's new effort but also believes the issue of same-sex marriage should be left up to the states' voters.

Except in states like California where the voice of the people spoke and was promptly silenced.

I definitely agree about the judges, it’s happening in my state right now. But CA’s prop 22 was in 2000, and passed by 61%. Prop 8 was in 2008, passed by 52%. Popular votes lost 9% in 8 years on this issue in CA. I doubt it would survive a popular repeal vote now.
