Employers added a modest 113,000 jobs in January after boosting payrolls by just 75,000 in December, the Labor Department said Friday. The two-month average was about half of last year's monthly pace of job growth and far below analysts' expectations.

Sheesh, how can people still expect job growth in the country now that Obamacare is the law of the land?

It’s cheaper to outsource the work and lay off the employees.

More people “liberated” from the shackles of work by the Obama administration.

Geez... listening to CNBC you’d think that things are going along great... Well, at least according to the Liberal creeps that are causing this rescission. Even the so called Conservatives seem to be afraid of stating the obvious. I( call them Senators and Congressmen.

Well, that is CNBC so who can expect anything else...

Facts are a stubborn thing but to most, it is an aberration!

I’m just surprised the L A Times is admitting the truth.

FedGov says that unemployment is down to 6.6%. How can that be “weak data” . . . if it’s true?

It’s all a con game... Actual employment is really about how many in the labor force are looking for work and how many are finding employment but the government along with the businesses look at this at the actual number looking for employment minus those that quit looking and also those that might be looking...so the number looks really good! Right!

Oh well, disregard these numbers and look at the newly hired. How does this compare with the totals? If that does not compute, how about thinking about it before spouting those Democratic points. Yes, think before buying!

Sorry, but thinking or even

Please... we are down to 6.6% because most of the work force has dropped out of the job market. Do you disagree with that?

Our current job percentage (and calculation) is out of date and would probably show that we are in a much worse position that you would think.

That means that we are much worse off than almost all of the political folks say - normal for political folks..

Take this as a bit of advise...things are changing faster than you might think.. Take charge of your life now...

Grap onto your ankles and hold on because things are only going to get worse... Sorry for the bad news...

Obviously you have not been following the market or the comments by anyone that has any insight! The drop in the unemployment rate is because of the drop-out of the labor force, not because of the increase in hiring! You really need to pay attention to most of the internet comments instead of any new outlet! Not just a problem but what the hell are you thinking! And where did you form that opinion!

Isn’t it funny that after the unemployment benefits legislation stalled, *now* we are in dire circumstances? All just a trap for the defunct GOP. Identical to Senator Obama saying the deficit was a big problem under GWB, but it’s fabulous now.

I agree, of course. I was simply expressing my amusement at how much they have massaged the unemployment numbers to claim a huge drop in unemployment while generating negligible numbers of actual jobs (which is why I added “if it’s true”).

This is the worst economy since the Great Depression, and the reasons are obvious to anyone other than a liberal. The next phase of ObamaCare may be enough to put this economy in first place, ahead of the Great Depression, just as the rest of Obama’s policies might be enough to put Obama in first place, ahead of James Buchanan.
