I was terminated Monday after 32 years of gainful employment with only a 2 month break in 32 years due to a layoff.
I turn 55 in 5 weeks and am terrified that I will never work again.
These were supposed to be my peak earning years.

They will then lock you in.
More and more people competing for fewer and fewer jobs is ugly and it is only going to gt uglier.

Sorry to hear that. I can’t begin to imagine what you r going thru. I will keep you in my prayers. Only God knows how this will work out for you, but it will work out. It is to bad that good people suffer because of Obama.

Wow, I'm sorry that happened to you!
Sane thing happened to me in late 2009 when I was 58. I found a new job 600 miles away, moved by family and household, and am much happier now than I was before.
Don’t give up hope. The younger workers out there do not have the work ethic that we do and some employers realize that.
