Watched a libertarian on Stoessel the Libertarian the other day saying that there should be no borders, illegals should come and go as they please, and that libertarians support such “total freedom”.

The only way an open border would be feasible is if there were no welfare state at all. No government benefits for anyone, ever. Then all the trough feeding socialists would leave for the greener pastures of Socialist Countries in South America and everyone who wanted to be in America would have to work or starve.
People used to come to America because of the opportunity to better themselves. These days they come for the opportunity to get free money and food and avoid taxes and have anchor babies.
We are at fault because we let them. We dangle the carrot of a welfare state with unlimited power to print money to pay them for doing nothing.
