But by definition Obama is NOT a trustworthy partner. What does Boehner expect to certify a change? Obama saying so? Crossing his heart and hoping to die?

The bottom line is neither Boehner nor anyone should trust their political opponents to change over to their ideology. It is simply not going to happen. In the case of Clinton after 1994, he didn’t have the votes so he coppormised a tiny bit. In today’s case, it is both Obama and Harry Reid that call the shots and has to be trusted. No way that is going to turn out good.

A damn stupid idea BEFORE the elections, John. Wait until we take out Reid.

Oh, wait, you WANTED amnesty!!! Not sorry YOU lost that fight.

Hi, AB. FWIW, it IS possible Boehner finally realized comprehensive immigration reform would crash their chances of another mid-term trouncing of Obama. Ditto with Mitch in the once "world's most deliberative body" HA ! Maybe more so the McConnell as there's more to lose in the Senate.

Anyway, Pubbies have been walking on egg shells so as not to do anything to jeopardize the November elections. This would've done it, John. And if you're delaying this until after primary elections are over and RINO's have been spared the immigration debate with TP challengers, forget it. Won't work. You have hit on it, and should run on it. Obama can not be trusted.
