Exactly what the Chamber of Cronies doesn't want to happen. They'll default on the debt before doing that.
What a feeble lie to “justify” increasing the debt ceiling.
We will not default on our debt, there is more than enough revenue to pay our obligation.
I’m not Speaker of the House, but isn’t the debt payment one of the first things that is paid, by law?

I don’t get the logic: They’re telling us that we need to borrow more money that we can’t afford to repay to avoid default? Am I missing something?

Get rid of Head Start? The schools are moving to 3-year-olds being enrolled, even those not potty-trained and unable to talk if they are declared to have a “learning disability”. People like this “early childhood education”, as they call it.

One thing should be as clear as glass to everybody with half a brain. John Boehner is NOT on the side of American productivity or American Exceptionalism.
For all intents and purposes, he is no better than what we had with Nancy Pelosi as House Speaker.

because he has neither the political gonads nor the intellectual reservoir nor the communications skills to fight the good fight against the debt ceiling
and, of course, the recently passed farm bill does not raise any votes on principle in favor of the speaker when it comes to the debt limit, which placed another strike against his ability to argue against it
