Same thing just happened here...a former junior high teacher was recently arrested for having a two year lesbian relationship with a student who was 12 at the time. At least in this state she will be serving a long time in prison for child rape.
Not that this teacher doesn’t deserve everything that happens to her, but I cannot believe that she was stupid enough to engage in this conversation on the telephone.
If she had a brain cell, the conversation would have gone something like this:
Caller: “Hello is this Miss Cardosa who used to work at Alhambra?”
Ms. Cardosa: “Who’s calling?”
Caller: “This is Jean . . . [Don’t you think you should have been reported to law enforcement because of what you did with me?]”
Ms. Cardosa: “I’m sorry, I really don’t know what you’re talking about.”
From there on in she just should have denied, denied, denied any accusation from the caller: “I really don’t know why you’re calling me with these outrageous accusations, but I’m afraid I really can’t help you because I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
That’s what Bill Clinton would have done.
I’m glad the teacher didn’t do that, because she was finally forced to face punishment.
But still. Just how stupid can anyone be?
Not a day goes by....
Oh, wait, this is a public (government) school... move along, nothing here.
Good!! I was hoping that something like this would happen. The original young woman who called the former teacher and made the accusatory tape wasn’t able to bring charges because it was outside the statute of limitations. But peds rarely target just one kid . . . usually it’s more . . . so I was hoping someone else would come forward who could still bring suit. Hah! Gotcha!
