Some of these converts most likely have roots going back in the day with Ireland who knows we are all flawed in some areas of our lives Elsie, (why some even today take pleasure in spamming and abusing their fellowman) if we were perfect there would be no need being here on earth!
The bottom line was it was never doctrine just left over baggage from when they use to be in the mainstream religion!
