Days after House Republicans unveiled a roadmap for an overhaul of the nation's broken immigration system, one of its backers said legislation was unlikely to pass during this election year.
Rep. Paul Ryan (R., Wis.) said distrust of President Obama ran so deep in the Republican caucus that he was skeptical the GOP-led House would pass any immigration measure. He said a plan that put security first could only pass if lawmakers believed the administration would enforce it - an unlikely prospect given Republicans' deep opposition to Obama.

I don’t trust any words out of our Republican Quislings.
Ryan had gone over to the dark side, if he ever was on the conservative side to begin with.
Not a strategic victory but a tactical retreat by pro-amnesty.
To Democrats AND Republicans - Figure out ho to keep illegals from steaming in, first.
Well, the House “leadership” certainly flushed themselves out.
Remember the RINO traitors who are responsible for this mess: Rubio, Graham, Boehner, Cantor, Ryan.
Obamacrats Boehner, Cantor and Ryan are now using their leader Obama’s tactic: Always lie to create a distraction for your true intentions.
Byron York thinks the Ryan “walk back” is a head fake to get conservatives to relax.
I won’t discount that. These guys could care less about citizens wants and desires. The illegals are treated as if they were the citizens already, and we were the illegals.

Good news for the patriotic right!! But of course be vigilant always with these Congress critters
Gotta give some credit to Limbaugh, who was out there blowing the whistle loud and hard last week.
And yes, you’d have to be smoking crack at this point to believe that Obama would EVER implement a law as-passed.
Remember this idiot. He has aspirations of running for President.
So, it appears that the GOP has put a delay on their demise.
Not to worry, libs, the GOP will faithfully shoot themselves in every possible bodily organ next year.
And they will die.
And, as far as this conservative cares, good riddance.
Die, GOP, die.
And let those of us with intelligence try to save civilization from the tapeworm libs.
Totally agree.
At this point we need to go scorched-earth on these people. That means firing them. I for one could certainly live with a Democrat in Boehner’s seat.
Ryan: “In a special offer to our caucus, this week only we are making available to you the new, improved, drug-resistant gonorrhea; which can be yours for the low-low price of surrendering your fealty to the Republican leadership, which will cost many of you your seats in the upcoming elections!
“But wait! There’s more! If you act right now, we can throw in a whopping case of syphilis, absolutely free! And a limited number of you will get a bonus case of our, not available in stores, genital herpes!
“Operators are standing by... So act now!”
All Hussein has to do is tell Attorney General Eric Holder not to enforce that part of the law that secures the border. Then, Hussein will write an executive order to give those here citizenship with no restrictions. Nothing has been done to him for changing laws and writing executive orders so nothing will be done if he gives them full citizenship with an executive order.
Hussein is a dictator/despot/self appointed King.
More disinformation from Ryan to lull the public to sleep. He wants to reduce the telephone calls and faxes to GOP offices protesting their immigration reform plans.
I'm genuinely sorry as I had much higher hopes for you.
Ryan just wants to stifle/dampen the angry calls from constituents that will/should flood every Rep in Congress saying no immigration bill period. Ryan lies and can’t be trusted.
