There's no place for the kind of criminal assault we see every Sunday on the gridiron, IMO. I've been a football fan for 50 years and I really do think that the tackling is so bad nowadays that it's just ridiculous. I enjoyed the kind of fundamental techniques employed in blocking and tackling years ago much more than the street type violence we are "treated" to now. Just my 0.02
