“OS/2 was superior to Windows in every way. “
Not even close. It was a disaster of an OS. Who in their right mind released a single threaded kernel??

Just like today's politics, Gates co-opted the media (pro-Windows and anti-OS/2) who pushed lies like you just repeated.
OS/2 always was multi-threaded. It always was truly object-oriented.
Windows is still DOS.

If I was his age and had his money, the last thing Id be doing is going to work every day. Life comes around faster than you think, remember Steve Jobs. That's a sad statement. You make it seem like work is a bad thing. For many people out there, work is their passion and allows them to live a happy productive life. If you think work is a drudgery, you are in the wrong line of work.

“OS/2 always was multi-threaded.”
Do you know the difference between a multithreaded process and a multithreaded OS? Didn’t think so.

I like my job plenty, but it’s just that—A JOB. If you’re putting more into that than your family, you’ve got problems.

But now you are backing off. You stated that life was "too short" to work all of it.
Well work is a very important part of life. You want to leave this life after having contributed something to society. Not only is it how you support your family but it is your legacy as well.
Retirement is vastly overrated. So long as you have something to contribute, you should do so.
