Mozart was gifted. Beethoven was gifted. These kids aren’t gifted. “Gifted” programs are just a stealthy PC workaround for the elimination of tracking programs, which used to group smart (i.e. high IQ) kids with kids of similar ability. Meanwhile, kids of middling ability have to learn at the pace of the sub-morons in their classes, and deal with bullying because the sub-morons resent looking stupid.
The last thing our society needs is a bunch of kids running around with high intelligence and no guidance.
Meanwhile, the Chinese harvest all the brainpower they can and do all they can to make sure their smartest get all the guidance they need to succeed in life.
