I agree with everything you say, EXCEPT the incongruity of your correct assessment of RINOs being slightly to the right of leftist. Your statement is true, but it is not consistent with reelecting those RiNOS. They are 'go along to get along' politicians who are just as bad as the demons. Where do we get the voters to vote for these RINOS and moreover WHY would be we be better off than if the dens are in office. Unless we move sharply to the right we gain nothing. The progress of progressives may slow slightly, but we still move left. We need strong conservatives and I simply do not see that happening. Even here in my home state, Texas, Cornyn has abandoned conservatism to maintain his oligargic gig. So he is all over the airwaves selling a person who is not him. Once elected, he will revert to a liberal pragmatism and the voting public will throw up their hands and realize nothing has changed.

All other remark you made are spot on.

I think the country is lost to the values of the left, and I do not know how far down their debauchery will take us.

“Your statement is true, but it is not consistent with reelecting those RiNOS. “

I was simply stating a fact, not that we should be re-electing any of them. You say that Cornyn has abandoned conservatism, when I would bet that he was never conservative in the first place. And therein lies one of the problems we conservatives have. When it comes to the GOP, the old biblical reference to “ many there are who draw near to me with their lips. but there hearts they are far from me” applies to politicians as well. Contrast Cornyn with Cruz. Cornyn is a go along to get along jerk, but Cruz is steadfast in his belief system. Conservatives need to do a much better job of vetting candidates so as to avoid inadvertently electing RINOs or worse.
