SAN JOSE, Calif. — Seventeen rural communities in drought-stricken California are in danger of running out of water within four months, according to a list compiled by state officials.

Wells are running dry or reservoirs are nearly empty in some communities. Others have long-running problems that predate the drought.

Having just spent 2 weeks in the Central Valley I can attest that this is true. And there is a fine haze that hangs over everything. Guess what? It’s dust.

They could desalinate but that takes energy and they oppose that.

It’s dry out here but we’er not running out of water. The left would love to propagandize that story which goes along with their AGW global warming scam. California usually gets more steady rain in Dec. and Jan. but typically gets about 80 to 90% in one or two huge storms.

And after desalination, they can sell the salt to cold-weather states!

All of the Republicans live in the central valley. Well, most of them, anyway.

I overheard a guy in a restaurant carrying on about the water shortage. His plan was to build a pipeline from Washington and Oregon, like the disputed Canadian oil pipeline, and pipe water down to the valley.

I almost choked on my soup. The Washingtonians and Oregonians wouldn’t like that much.

Just have each illegal bring in one bottle of water with them to share with their new community.

Why do you paint all Californians as socialists and blame a drought on anyone living there?

We don’t need any salt here in the midwest. Big salt mines in Ohio and Michigan.

CA is built out of stealing water from the mountains.

That talk’s been around awhile. Tap the Columbia near the mouth and pipe it to SoCal. The tales of poor little Angelinos and their dried up swimming pools didn’t win much favor up here.

This is serious but still seems ironic to me. The socialist cities of cali will tell you that the north state can not exist as a separate state because we are??? I never quiet figured that one out but the only obstacle to northern cali becoming a self sustaining state that I see is determining just how much each drop of water is worth to those who have none.

The cities of cali are filled with a bunch of self centered arrogant socialist morons who have treated the rest of the state's population as worthless and stupid for decades. I'm wondering what their line of thought will be when they are thirsty and their toilets don't flush.

The state of Jefferson should have the state motto of, "Water by the drop."

Cali could have water trucked in from its sister State: New York.
