The 'Kerry Plan': Palestinian capital in east Jerusalem, recognition of Jewish state
The Jerusalem Post ^ | 1/29/2014

The "Kerry Plan" is likely to be unveiled soon, Thomas Friedman of The New York Times wrote on Tuesday in a column titled "Why Kerry is Scary."

The “Kerry Plan,” writes Friedman, is expected to "call for an end to the conflict and all claims, following a phased Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank (based on the 1967 lines)."

Friedman also said that there will be "unprecedented security arrangements in the strategic Jordan Valley."

According to Friedman, some settlements will remain under Israeli control and Israel will "compensate" Palestinians for the land.

The plan will set east Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital. It will also demand that Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

The plan, Friedman continues, will not include any right of return for Palestinian refugees into Israel.

No surprises here, except maybe the bit about no right of return.

Most interesting is the original article by Friedman and his analysis of Netanyahu's position.

It will also demand that Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

This is the clause that will never happen as long as the so called “Palestinians” are Muslim.

Rational observers have long realized that the 'Palestinians' have no real interest in any 'two-state solution'. They have made it clear that their goal is to destroy the Israel and run the Jews that inhabit it out of the middle east. 'Negotiations' are nothing but stalling tactics to gain a little more time for each side and for the 'Palestinians' to coax Israel to give up more land and make an invasion easier.

John Kerry is not going to change that reality no matter what kind of ultimatum he issues to each side. Israel cannot keep making concessions in exchange for empty promises from the 'Palestinians'. Netanyahu cannot simply cave to Kerry's plan but he can use it, as Friedman stated, as a framework. A telling quote from Netanyahu: “Israel does not have to agree with everything America presents.” Indeed, they do not - and with Obama directing this show, they should not.

Maybe my memory is faulty but Kerry is just recycling the plan Clinton got then PM Barak to agree at Camp David in 2000. There was no final agreement because Arafat did not go along because of no right of return. What has changed since then to make what is essentially the same agreement to pass mustard with Abbas.

The Egypt, Israel, Jordan peace agreements were based upon a simple concept. Old men tired of fighting who cared about the young people in their countries more than fighting their old enemies.

The problem in trying to find peace with the Palestinians is that they aren't tired of fighting. The old guys that run the Palestinian political groups know they lack the ability to govern and are more than willing to allow the fighting to continue. It is a peace that won't hold.

ridiculous to the extreme

Kerry has embarrassed America (and himself) enough to last a thousand years

best thing he can do now is come home and stay home and keep absolutely QUIET about that part of the world

for goodness’ sakes, just how much of this stupid krap do we all have to endure hearing from our public officials these days, anyway? and they have the entire world laughing at us!

The Obama/Kerry dance over Israel & the Palestinians will be moot when Iran’s A-bombs make a great big hole South of Lebanon & NW of Jordan. That’s what Obama’s Mideast mistakes are enabling.

The "Kerry Plan" is to thrown medals stolen from Israeli soldiers over the fence of the Great Mosque in Jerusalem as a sign to the Religion of Pieces that the Israelis now understand that they've been wrong since 1948.

I think it was Golda Mier who said that "peace will come to the Middle East when Arabs start loving their children more than they hate Jews".

No, Kerry is recycling the Bush plan which Olmert agreed to but Abbas rejected. Bush and Olmert were recycling the Clinton plan.

So his plan is to give the arabs the benefit of their 1929 pogram that killed/expelled the Jews in East Jerusalem?

Great idea!

Thanks for your post. When I read/hear 1929 I automatically think of Hebron and Safed... never realized East Jerusalem was part of the Arab attack. I just googled it and learned something new. Thanks again.

Clinton was pure evil and was responsible for sending carvile and crew to Israel to install his puppet Ehud Barak as prime minister to force an agreement effectively destroying Israel by dividing it, that is, undoing the 1967 restoration. It was only Arafat that refused to go along with it at that time, (actually God is in control of when this event is allowed to occur)

Clinton desperately desired the peace prize and is no doubt still stinging from it being given to another Barak instead, along with the media following over themselves heaping up undeserved praise along with magazine covers showing halos and messianic imagery of their chosen one,

I have little doubt this (far more vile) administration will eventually do something similar if the opportunity should arise, that is, get a tzipi livni type elected in Israel and then bargain away the promised restoration for a false ‘peace and security’ with an even more liberal and naive godless puppet,

I will clearly state it is my belief that whenever this event does occur, whether this year, next year or should it take another 100 years, that whenever it does happen as prophesied, it will bring with it a curse upon the world, (Isaiah 24) and specifically upon those nations directly responsible. (Zechariah 12:3)

Judgement will then fall on America because of these evil leaders,

When prophecy watchers wonder what specific events bring about the time of the end, it is my sincere belief this event is at the very core,

This is why the end comes when it does come, its why judgement comes upon the whole Earth.

The transgressors (Israel) have come to the full and have been restored, God has kept his promise, the times within the Laws and Ordinances were being fulfilled and then this world (system) will have undone this work with promises of lies and deceit, seeking to prevent these times and seasons from resolving with the Jubilee restoration of all things, allowing Satan to maintain his authority over the Earth,

Pray the work of this evil unclean spirit in the White House comes to nothing, pray that Kerry fails at this attempt to undo the restoration of Israel (1948) and Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria (1967)

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem,

I wonder sometimes if the UN partition of the Palestinian Mandate was not the “dividing of the land” that will bring judgment against the nations (Joel 3:2). Just because 66 years have passed, that does not mean that it was not the event that would set in motion the End Times events... God’s timing is not our timing.
