The proposed amendment would make Florida the 21st state to decriminalize marijuana for medicinal purposes...
Floridas state Supreme Court ruled Monday that a constitutional amendment to decriminalize medical marijuana can go before voters, rejecting opponents argument that the measure would mislead voters in legalizing the drug.
The high court ruled 4-3 in favor of allowing the constitutional amendment to move toward a vote in November, the Miami Herald reports. The proposed amendment would allow strains of marijuana with greater levels of substances that help prevent epileptic attacks and lower levels of the substance that makes people high.
Opponents of the amendment have said the initiative will mislead voters into legalizing marijuana in the state, but the Supreme Court said the proposed amendments purpose is clear, the Herald reports.

It will probably pass.
They have that 60% hurdle to jump. It will be all in what side wins the PR battle.
It will pass and they’ll have a democrat as gov at the same time.
There have been rumors of another Dem running against Crist. Scott hasn’t done bad but he makes it easy for people to dislike him.
I live here and hope it doesn’t pass. The war on drugs is evil but I’mnot sure legalization is the answer.
From the above it sounds like this is about low THC/ high CBD strains. Basically they don't get you high, but can be miraculous for people with seizures.
Soros funded destroy America campsign.
Cash cow for the doctors who came up in the 60s and 70s, prescribing it for hangnails and such.
Local polls show it about 60/40 to pass.
this amendment is being pushed by ONE law firm.
charlie crist WORKS for this law firm. he went there after he lost the senate race.
this is a get out the vote for crist tactic.
what the legislature should now do is pass an amendment with prohibition against having a driver’s license if perscribed pot. If a doctor perscribes pot, the license MUST be surrendered for one year automatically.
it needs 61% to pass as a constitutional amendment.
A law can be undone by the legislature.
I'm ready for serious, society wide, real talks regarding existing marijuana laws.
And I sincerely think it merits serious and sober attention.
That said, as of today, I would vote no.
