The left are incapable of arguing an issue on its merits.
This is the only thing that they are capable of doing: name-calling (Tea Party = racists).
This goes well beyond name-calling. This is part of an ongoing orchestrated push by the Left of the Big Lie that “the TEA Party is racist.” Which makes no sense to anyone with any sense, since TEA Party types have been huge supporters of Alan West, Herman Cain, etc. But then it’s agitprop for the masses, it doesn’t have to make sense. Goebbels would be proud.
The pigment of the immigrant’s skin has zip to do with his or her eligibility to become an American citizen, which is the primary objective of long-term immigration, done under the protocols and legislation already on the books.
The criteria for admitting and eventually naturalizing foreign nationals is to turn them into AMERICANS, patriotic and responsible citizens, assimilated into the aspirations which spurred our founding fathers to break free of what they considered to be tyranny and oppressive limitations on individual freedom and initiative.
We are not a “free lunch” for rogues and criminals who may flee here for refuge, or to snatch away the bricks lying on the streets paved with gold. There are certain criteria laid down that must be met by the applicant for entry, else they shall be turned away at the point of entry. And for those who circumvent the customary points of entry, the penalties were once set at a very severe level for a reason.
There is a long history of these children of other lands coming here and making good, but there is also an underbelly to this same flood of immigrants that entered with the good and industrious, who came only to prey upon the lesser and the gullible already here. The Mafia came here disguised among the honest working Italians, the Irish thugs came intermixed with the Picts and Celtics fleeing starvation in their own land.
There are both desirable and undesirable individuals in that flood that comes knocking at our door. Some ought to, must, be turned away, for the good of all, especially for those honest folk who are coming in good faith, precisely because they want to escape the rascals and scalawags that try to sneak in. Discrimination is not a bad word when used in this sense, discerning evil and turning it away at the gate. There is already enough domestic evil, without importing any.
