Well, if things get as bad as some say it will and there was no way to stop the impending crash and if I were him and knew about it, I’d try to position myself the best way possible for the benefit of the ones I cared for.

As patriotic as I am, I could see myself doing similar.

This experiment has cracks that need fixing and if I was not able to, I’d shore my defenses for the good of my family. As selfish as that sounds, most would do the same.

I’m not discounting his service or loyalty either, just humanizing him. After all, that’s all any of us are.

First of all, thanks for your service.

But then, Paul Revere didn't ride to protect his family...he rode to protect a new country. A country which is greater than our families...greater than all we are.

America is God's work...His freedom manifest for the men and women who are willing to die for it!
