That’s a fact. The Egyptians are very vocal in their condemnation of 0, Hillary, & the US ambassadress & called them “terrorists” or that they supported it (True, that). They were specific that it did not include the American people.

I haven’t been keeping up lately (there are a couple of outstanding threads somewhere here on FR- & they may be updated, still), but last account, al-Sisi was kicking behind & taking names, not just in the Egyptian cities, but closing tunnels (?) in the Sinai & working with Israel regarding Hamas. Kind of ironic, but better late than never.

Hamas & Hizbullah have to be eliminated if there’s ever going to be any hope of peace in the ME. All of it, not just Israel. Both orgs are a threat to *every* country.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a problem worldwide. (Why isn’t 0bama’s affiliation with them considered treason? I don’t understand)

You comment that, "The Muslim Brotherhood is a problem worldwide. (Why isn’t 0bama’s affiliation with them considered treason? I don’t understand)"

Do you want the secular reason or the spiritual one? The secular reason IS because of the spiritual reason, one leads into the other. The spiritual reason is that the Adversary wishes to destroy humanity, ESPECIALLY Christians and Israel, God's Chosen People. Satan blinds many Americans to 0.00's moral turpitude because the US has been the most powerful voice of Christianity and has been the largest supporter of Israel for many years, both of which he especially hates! Please note that it is a WILLFUL blindness, as the country turns away from God. It happened to the UK one hundred years ago and is happening in the US now.

The spiritual reason, I grasp. (I won’t say “understand”. I don’t understand that level of self-hatred & I don’t want to.) I think it is willful (blindness) for some people, but weakness & naivety for others. (The end result is the same.)

Even to this day, though, I guess I cling to believing in the America that once was & don’t want to accept that it is really, truly, finally gone. You just explained what has happened to us, yes, but also our laws now mean nothing.

I believe that there will be a great awakening in both the former ‘Christendom’ and Asia and Africa before Jesus returns. Unfortunately for the 1st world countries, like those in Europe, Australia, US, Canada, etc., I believe that it will take a severe crisis, where we become dependent on the Lord, rather than ourselves.

Africans come to the Lord much easier because they have nothing left to depend on, they are mostly already at the ‘end of themselves’, so God is their ‘only chance’. We (the 1st world) only come to Him after all other means are used up, as a ‘last chance’. He may soon bring us to the level of Africa.

Things will heat up as we draw closer to Mohammed Morsi's trial: Morsi's espionage trial set to begin Feb. 16

Will Hillary's name come up during the trial? Will evidence surface which implicates team Barry? Hmmmm...

I don’t think it’s God bringing us to the level of Africa. It’s the government. And “we” (not the Believers), ourselves.

I wish I felt more optimistic about an awakening. People seem to be devolving at an incredible pace. I would love it if you were right.

You are right. My comment did not come out quite right. God blessed the OT Hebrews. As they gained wealth, they depended on Him less and drew away from Him so He withheld His blessings. In the same way, ‘Christendom’ was blessed for centuries. First Europe, the former British Colonies (like Canada), and the US all drew away from Him. He has/will continue to withdraw His blessings from our societies as a whole, unless/until we turn back to Him.

1 Peter 4:7 ‘For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?’

I think that in the midst of the on coming crises, there will be an awakening amongst some Believers but before that, a falling away of many who believe false doctrines. Among the latter, will be those whose faith is in the ‘prosperity gospel’ or ‘Word of Faith’, rather than the whole Gospel; the ‘name it and claim it’ folks. I believe that Mssrs. Osteen, Dollar, Hagin, Copeland, Jakes, Hinn and many others are in for an ‘awakening’ of their own, albeit a different type of ‘awakening’!

The ‘Word Faith’ false teaching bears a strikingly similarity to the pagan ‘Law of Attraction’. This is perhaps the oldest lie, straight from the pit of Hell, by way of the Garden of Eden. Before YHWH can bring a final awakening of Believers, He has to cleanse the church of ALL false teaching.

For those who put their faith in ‘Word Faith’, I ask ‘If it is true, why was Paul, perhaps the most successful evangelist, in a Roman jail for four years before being executed, rather than becoming wealthy and perhaps the Emperor of Rome?’

Sorry, I went on a bit of a rant on what should have been a short acknowledgement of my error.

I wasn’t disputing, AFPC, but merely expressing my opinion. It was * my* error for not saying imho.

I know exactly what you mean. And you’ve made me think (Thanks!) I complain a lot about the mess around us & wish there was a way to be “buffered” from it/ away from it, but I’m wondering if it might not be a Blessing to keep us sharp & warn us away. It’s easy, if you try not to judge others, to say “oh well”- but it gives a lot of clarity when you’re revolted instead of not being put off.

It’s very odd the first time one experiences it, but sometimes the greatest Blessings (& actual genuine happiness) come when there’s trouble. You realize that He *Is* right there & In control & everything really will be okay in the end, no matter what. Everything that happens is to teach us something. Very little is “worthless”.

Please don’t be sorry. No offense was taken. God Bless you.

I think every time a bomb goes off in the Middle East, a film maker in the US should go to jail.

They need to stop causing these attacks!
