I’m for Ted Cruz myself. I’ll be writing him in no matter what.

I remember Newt and the couch as well... I just chalk that up to politics and strange bedfellows. I have ZERO clue what was in his head at that moment, appearing with that classless POS lunatic from San Fran.

If it were only that...

http://www.thepoliticalguide.com/Profiles/House/Georgia/Newt_Gingrich/Views/The_Second_Amendment/

Yeah, he’s good at appearing pro-rkba, but what this shows is that he is more than willing to exceed the rightful limits of Federal power.

Not what we need. We need a leader that understands the limits of Federal power and will work to fit the FedGov back into it’s Art1Sec8 box.

Agreed, brother.

I had not see that article you linked. It’s pretty concise. Thank you.

Newt was a good Speaker. He had his time. He’s doing an excellent job as a spokesmen for conservative causes.

Cruz I like. I’d have zero qualms voting for him. Same for West, Carson, Palin, Rand, etc... We have good candidates available and willing.

The problem will come from poll watching/finger in the wind/GOPe insiders wanting someone more pro-status quo...

Might have to check into Carson’s views on guns. Several posts out here said he was anti-gun.

The others, yes, I’m on the same page with you.

2nd Amendment is my litmus test.

Same here. Hadn’t heard that about Carson. I’ll keep an eye on that.

Thanks!

Ron Paul is utterly clueless about the economy and about currency, just as nuts as he is about everything else.

Thanks for the post now I don’t have to write. I totally agree with you. Scott Walker is my candidate too. Just look at the great financial picture he has given Wisconsin.

And we will rip them up for the dems as usual.

Still peddling that "Better Red than Dead" stuff I see.

will insure about 50 million new Dem voters over the next 10 to 20 years who will most all be living on the dole.

What make you so sure they are not already voting? We do not check eligibility anywhere that could make a difference.

Not my first choice, but a helluva lot better than Christie, and *maybe* “clean” enough to run the media gauntlet without blowing up.

That is the problem. I am by no means a fan of Christie, but when Rahm Emmanuel and Harry Reid engage in the same behavior the Legacy media calls it being "outspoken" or "assertive". When a 'pub does it - they call it being a "bully".

What to do about it? Part of the solution would be to go around the Legacies. Talk to The Blaze. Interview with other web giants. The internet isn't big enough to have a louder voice than the Legacy media, but it is getting there slowly.

Well, I think Ron Paul is like most others. Everybody has something against just about anybody. None of us agrees entirely with anyone else. I guess we just have to pick what's most important and find those who are in agreement. The problem I have with some of what I see on FR and elsewhere is the demand for somebody to be doctrinally "pure" on all counts or "we'll never vote for him." (I personally think Paul is koo-koo on foreign policy but sharp on our need for a free market economy.)

I'm not sure what "conservative" means anymore or what "conservatives" stand for. I used to think it was freedom but these days I'm not so sure. Maybe you can't pigeonhole "conservative" either, but there does seem to be some sort of party line. Anyway, I'm a lover of individual freedom and believe that's what America is all about. I think the immigration thing is a distraction from the biggest issue of our time: big government. Cut big government and keep cutting until once again the Constitution is in view, and all the augments against immigration melt away. Otherwise, it looks like acquiescence to Socialism.

And each other in the process. During the 2012 primaries, I was actually kicked off an unrelated ping list for being a "Perrywinkle." I am not looking forward to the 2016 dog fights.
