The Tom clancy novel “Without Remorse” gave a pretty good set of lessons on how to confuse a crime scene, leaving evidence, no evidence, or mixed evidence at the scene.

They are still happy to sell to the jack boots in Cali, just not the citizens. Until S&W turn down their deals with the devil they are part of the problem not part of the solution.

This will not prevent people from owning or buying them elsewhere.

That is assuming the socialists play by the rules. Since there would then exist a threat to the government’s ability to ‘serve and protect’, it would be necessary to nationalize the arms industry.... This can’t be resolved without a major revolution.. The question is, will the People realize it and act before the government becomes too strong to be ‘straightened out’.

California's doing an end run around the Second Amendment.Someone should take this to the Federal courts. No need to take it to state courts...it's no mystery what the outcome would be.

Go to a gun range, and, wearing gloves, pick up a bunch of fired casings, especially right after the police trained there, and save them to dump at a crime scene, if necessary.

Does S&W deal directly with the state agencies? If so, I agree that they should cease that practice. However, most law-enforcement procurements are bid on by the "public safety supply" companies, which serve as firearms distributors.

thats what i was thinking. now only 49 states allow the sales of firearms without problems.46 or so, actually.
New York is *insane*.
Maryland ain't no picnic.
Connecticut is rough.
Obviously California.

You’re making the very common mistake of thinking liberals are endowed with common sense.

Follow the money on this one...if I recall correctly, some outfit in CA or Washington, created and patented this “technology” and tried to sell it to gun manufacturers.
Got rebuffed for the very reasons pointed out, too difficult. So they were out a bunch of $$$’s.
So...they went to the gun grabbers...they expect to get their payback, only at the expense of gun owners.

A piece of emery cloth can remove that microstamp with no problems.
I wonder if the Indian Reservations in Cali can open gun stores and sell guns not legal for sale in the rest state.
They can operate casinos, and if an Indian commits a crime off rez they flee to the rez where the local state cops can’t get them.

Wonder how it would work if a person opened a store in AZ or NV border with Cali and sell magazines, ammo, firing pins.
LAST CHANCE! MAGAZINES! AMMO! FIRING PINS! CASH AND CARRY!
WE ALSO HAVE GAS, BEER, SODAS!

In the end, the fascist leftists will have gained nothing. Sadly though, freedom-loving, law-abiding citizens will have lost another right.
