There is another website that shows how temperature stations that have gotten warmer readings have had significant asphalt paving, airport engine warming nearby, or even grills and burn barrels nearby.
That would be this:

So...according to the scientific consensus, what is the most correct global temperature we should try to achieve?I read an article which said the average earth temperature for 450 of the last 540 million years was 22 C (Just under 72 F) So right now we are 7.5 C below that. I don't know how they figured the temperatures that far back, but a 134 year snapshot in time to determine what is global warming or cooling is ridiculous.

I find this very hard to believe. November and December were among the coldest I can EVER recall in Michigan (I’m fifty frickin’ two), and April, May, and June were WET. I think I turned the air on three times all summer.

This site in Marysville, CA has been around for about the same amount of time, but has been encroached upon by growth in a most serious way by micro-site effects.

I tracked the weather front moving into my area yesterday.
At the time I looked the NOAA station at the airport showed 46 degrees while all of the weather underground backyard stations surrounding it were reporting between 37-39 degrees.

Interesting, and as you say, “how’d they do that?”. Now tell that an extremely large demographic that doesn’t believe that the Earth is anywhere near that age.

If greenhouse gasses cause global warming and the total amount of greenhouse gasses increases every day, then shouldn’t every day be the warmest day on record?

Interesting pics at the link. We've been surprised at how little ice is in the lake here right now as it's been colder than normal since the fall came. Grand Traverse Bay shows little ice so far, and the big lake has less than I've seen in some years. We've seen it entirely frozen out to the Manitou Islands twice, so far it's hardly 50 feet off the shore. I can't prove it, but I think it's been windier this year, stirring from the bottom of the lake preventing freezing. Unlike Green Bay, which is supposedly frozen over, we are on the windward side.
Lake Superior has frozen over on average once every twenty-five years since we've been keeping records, which is the past couple of hundred years or so. It has already frozen over twice in the past decade, and is looking like it may freeze over once again this year.
These people are NOT going to let go of this nonsensical warming theory. They'll keep it up as long as they can get money and votes from the scaremongering, which given the state of our education and media will likely continue for decades.

And then on the map.
The sattelite hasn’t gotten to us today but you can go back days weeks, months and years.

Just Hit The NOAA Motherlode ( Hide the Actual Temp Decline ) By the time they are done corrupting the data, they have hidden the decline and created a strong warming trend, with 1998, 1999 and 2006 being the three hottest years. Prior to corruption, 1999 and 2006 arent even in the top ten. http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3114429/posts

Whatever happen to the Global Warming Alarmists, who got stuck in the ice in "Antarcticawith a plan to show the worldhow badly alleged man-made global warming was wreaking havoc across the region" ?
The last I heard, the United States was sending an "Ice-Breaker"to get the Russian ship out of the ice, that went to get the China "Ice-Breaker" out, that went to get the Australian "Ice-Breaker" out, that went to get the Russian-flagged shipcarrying the Global Warming Alarmists to Antarctica,

Even if you determine the Earth is only 6000 of so years old a 134 year snapshot is like determining the average age of people based on a handful of examples. I doubt if too many of the AGW crowd believe the 6000 year age.

How the —— does this square up with the reported fact that there has been no rise in average temperatures for 16 years?
This is an official agency reporting this tripe!
