Same thing happened in DC during the ‘96 “blizzard”. Streets in Wards 7 and 8 (deep Southeast) were clear but Ward 3 (upper Northwest) didn’t get plowed for close to a week. Barry had just been reelected from his vacation in state-run incarceration, didn’t like that the rich Libs first refused to support him in the primary, then had the nerve to vote for the ... Republican (RINO flavor, but still ...)

Well they voted for Blasio, so they are getting what they voted for.
He made it snow?

And which state would want wealthy NY citizens? Even the rich are probably liberal so they ought to be made to stay in their POS state.

Exactly. Where are the Sons of Liberty in today’s world? It’s past time for pitchforks, tar and feathers.

FU NY City.

In my view, the big progressives of the FED and the Federal US Government support the crony capitalist progressives on Wall street. Very ironically, these big progressives, support the little-brat extremist progressives and communists like de Blasio with their taxes, and one-party political structure.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a sinkhole big enough to swallow up the entire place.

leaving the 1-percenters to contend with Mother Nature on their own

If they are truly "1-percenters" they should have enough money to fire everyone, close shop, and leave the state. Maybe move their business or whatever made them rich to another state.

Dear 1%, please tell New York to piss off.

Ordering groceries is one thing, getting them delivered is something else altogether.

“Suspended from a lamp post”?

Please, this is the Upper East Side we’re talking about. The most those people will do is have their PR reps issue a bunch of nasty press releases. Which will be ignored (except for maybe the Wall St Journal and NY Post in glee filled schadenfreude articles ...)

Yes, it is funny how people have to learn the hard way.

Funnier that they don't learn, no matter how harsh the lesson.

Sounds like this new mayor is angling for a shake-down, as in, “Make a donation to my re-election campaign, and I’ll consider getting some plows your way...maybe.”

"Why should anyone be entitled to more than a fair shair of square footage living space? We have poor people suffering without homes, so it should only be fair to force those with more square footage than the masterminds deem necessary for happiness to take in the unlucky that has no square footage! That would be a much more fair distribution of shelter!

Yeah...I hear ya....suppose if it came down to a delivery at some 1% home or a leech home with a pizza, who do you think they’d brave that cold for?

Besides, I hear from all the NYC people, you can get anything you want, any time any place, regartless!

LOL....when the crunch comes, anybody in that place is toast.

So how does UPS/FedEx get thru the streets to deliver to the 1%?

This is being blamed on a faulty GPS on a salt-spreader. It will go down the memory hole.

Actually, I really don’t give a whit about what happens in NYC. GPS, NPR, I really don’t care.

Seems De Blasio is determined to drive all the rich people out of NYC.

No, he's trying to make NYC a model city like Detroit.
