Anyone with half a brain can see the value of setting up a car charging business to meet the demand. Given the apparent ‘rage,’ an smart business person could make a mint. then of course, create jobs to have people operate the stations and provide other minor services.

Wait until people start charging battery packs in the trunks of their gas powered cars at these charging stations and then powering their home for free...

Big advantage to gasoline/diesel. Full tank in a couple minutes. No waiting.

Where I work (northern VA) the electric cars get free charging. The deal is that building owner gets to pretend they are “green” and pick up some subsidies. They also have mostly empty bike racks for the same reason. The primary purpose of electric cars, rooftop solar and other such nonsense is to pick up subsidies.

The rage is no doubt hastened by the buyer’s remorse these ideologues must be experiencing.

The “problem” here is that the charging system costs about $2,000 and probably requires a new 240V circuit in your electrical box, which means another couple of hundred for an overpriced electrician. That’s why everybody wants to use somebody else’s charger.

I see these gadgets for sale where you lay your electronic devices on it and it charges them (no plugs/cords); I’d imagine they can do that on a larger scale (they’d just have to park them in a certain section of the lot). Couldn’t imagine the cost, though...

Probably don’t have enough range to make it to and from work without a charge. TS if you are stupid enough to drive one of these.

Probably dont have enough range to make it to and from work without a charge. TS if you are stupid enough to drive one of these. If I had to guess, I'd say many of these people bought them to get into the carpool lanes and they probably are pushing the range limits. If they are young, they maybe pushing the midnight oil and don't have the car plugged in at home long enough for a full charge..

a fuel cell. A fuel cell converts hydrogen to electric current.

Clever entrepreneurs could build up charging trucks...a two or three ton truck with a huge DIESEL generator on the back.
He could tour parking lots, do roadside visits and make house calls.
Of course he would have to “charge” the moonbats.
