Diehard fans of the A&E show "Duck Dynasty" are planning to show their loyalty by holding a Phil Robertson appreciation day at Chick-fil-A franchises nationwide on Jan. 21.
According to the Chick-Phil-A Day Facebook page, Robertson supporters are encouraged to wear "Duck Commander or camouflage gear" to their local Chick-fil-A to "stand for free speech" and "sit for good food."

The event already has over 24,000 likes and nearly 60,000 listed attendees since its creation on Dec. 20.
Robertson has been the target of a media firestorm since making comments on homosexuality in a GQ magazine interview earlier this month. The scandal led to his suspension from A&E.
Chick-fil-A entered the national debate on same-sex marriage back in 2012 after its CEO Dan Cathy said in an interview that he is a firm backer of traditional marriage. His remarks led to both an outpouring of support and a strong backlash against the chain.

Should have had it on a Sunday — people could have gone out for dinner after church.
You are kidding, right?
Chic Fil A is not open on Sundays
Chick fil A isn’t either, LOL
Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays.
Franchise policy that they aren’t open on the Lord’s Day so employees can attend church and worship with their families.
We have no CfA here, darn, cause I sewed a really cute cammo jumper and even have matching shoes.
No Chick-Fil-a in the PRNY.
The liberals will have a meltdown at the confluence of DUCK Dynasty support and support for Chick Fil A.
One small factual correction. ChickFil A did not enter the debate over homoseXual marriage. The owner of the company gave an interview to a Christian magazine. The liberals found that interview and had their usual meltdown when they confront things not to their liking. They were planning boycotts of Chick Fil A.
So it was due to the company owner having the audacity to say he believes marriage is a man and a woman which ttargeted his company by liberals. The company never made any coeporate decision to take sides in the homosexual marriage debate.
Two birds with one shotgun.
Please don’t use the words “cute” and “camo” in the same sentence. ;)
I AM SO IN.
“Please dont use the words cute and camo in the same sentence. ;)”
You must have never saw an episode of The Crush!
I really do want to support Chic fil A, but the sandwiches are dry and crumbly, and the service is slow and chaotic. No amount of mayonnaise and smiles can fix these problems. Better food and better service, and they’d have me as a regular.
Wow! Here in South Carolina the Chick Fil-A sandwich rolls are moist & fresh, the filets broasted to perfection & I have never seen any other fast food place so packed with customers that is so prompt with filling my order (avg 3 minutes). The sauces are just icing on the cake, so to speak.
And....wait for it.....we sometimes get picketed with “If You’re Eating Chick Fil-A, You’re Eating Anti-Gay!!!” though the protesters avoid overt trespass. Too many armed rednecks inside enjoying their meal, I guess.
All in all, a great experience.
Anyway, see y’all at Chick-Phil-A Support Day!
There’s really nothing wrong with this but wouldn’t it make more sense to have a campaign where instead of “giving” to Chik-fil-A we give to one of the Tea Party candidates in a state like Kentucky, Louisiana, South Carolina, etc. Resources for most folks are very limited in today’s economy. It’s great to show your support for the Robertsons but let’s make sure we use our money wisely. This will only make you “feel” better whereas a strategic win in one of these critical states will actually help us in the war we are engaged in. Just my 2 cents.
You should find another Chic-fil-A to frequent.
