Our friend Michael Patrick Leahy, co-founder of BEAT LAMAR, today called-out Tennessee's establishment Republican Senator for his phony and disingenuous TV commercial on Obamacare.
Senator Alexanders recently released television commercial makes the false claim that he stands up strong against Obamacare, said Leahy.
Such a demonstrably untrue claim deserves four Pinocchios, Leahy stated. At every significant step since its passage, Lamar Alexander has in reality served as the number one enabler of Obamacare in the Republican Party.
Leahy pointed out that Senator Alexanders false claim that he has resisted Obamacare arises from a series of timid statements he made to President Obama in a Kabuki theater style joint press appearance held several weeks before Obamacare passed in 2010. Lamar Alexander posed for the television cameras that day with President Obama, but since its passage he has done nothing in four years to stop Obamacare.
Noting that Alexander failed to stand with Ted Cruz when he opposed the adoption of a new budget unless Obamacare was defunded this past fall, Leahy said that Lamar Alexander simply does not have the willpower, the energy, or the desire to stand up for conservative values.
At this critical time in our history, our country needs tough, dedicated fighters for the Constitution who will vigorously oppose the extralegal power grabs of the Obama administration on every front, Leahy stated. Lamar Alexander has proven he cant do that. In fact, he is far more likely to be working with the Obama administrationhe voted with the President 62% of the timethan he is to be working against it.
Its clear to Tennesseans that Lamar Alexander stands for one thing, and one thing only: maintaining his own position, power, and prestige,

People in Lamar!TN have in many cases shook his hand. That’s all that is required there.
PING
The ONLY thing I hear come out of Lamar's mouth whenever he's in front of a microphone is, "I didnt hear anything they said," Alexander told Politico. They were a mile away. They were enjoying their First Amendment rights, and I was enjoying playing 'Johnny B. Goode' with Mike Huckabee." from July 2013 when Alexander's consitutients tried to protest his voting history. He was literally laughing about it. THAT'S how much concern he has for Tennesseans.
Alexander's in that special, protected ruling class that is so far removed from his constituents that he can't hear them. Money makes dandy soundproofing.
Alexander has never been a conservative, at least as far back as his college days. He has always been a slightly left of center squish.
He justifies his votes as a Judiciary Committee member in voting in favor of leftist judicial appointees by saying “the President should have the prerogative to pick judges.” He justifies votes in favor of cloture for leftist measures by saying “I am against it, but it deserves an up and down vote.”
Wink, wink, hint, hint, nudge, nudge.
But the sleight of hand could be up for Alexander in 2014.
And THAT FACT has been duly noted by Conservatives in TN.
I am looking forward to voting for ANYBOBY BUT LAMAR in the next election.
Q: Who built Obamacare?
A: Obama built that. Period.
I am looking forward to voting for ANYBOBY BUT LAMAR in the next election.
