Dear Leader could write the book on using government resources to punish those who don’t support him.

Of course rural equating as white people.... IOW Obungu and his regime would never try and pull this on urban public schools which equates into punishing black and brown.

Obastard will be remembered as the worst, most petty tyrant to ever occupy the WH.

By some of us.

But the sad truth is that Obama will be idolized like Nelson Mandela was.

Obama's horrible tenure as president will be whitewashed (no pun intended) the same way Mandela's history of terrorism and murder has been ignored and covered up.

The media and leftist history books will glorify Obama as one of the best presidents in our history.

It is already taking place. Anyone who criticizes Obama is called names, ridiculed and discounted as a wing-nut. Look how successful they have been sidelining serious debate about his missing birth certificate, college transcripts and other ID documents. The minute the subject arises critics are dismissed as "birthers" - even right here on FR.

Boehner probably hopes that future POTUS Mrs. Bill Clinton will appoint him to be her Secretary of State.

Future POTUS Mrs. Bill Clinton is probably planning to give Boehner an Ambassadorship, say to Libya - - - .

...”Obama’s horrible tenure as president will be whitewashed (no pun intended) the same way Mandela’s history of terrorism and murder has been ignored and covered up.”....

Because those in leadership operate entirely above the plain we live on. ..until they want votes or revenue...and we give it to them every time!

Actually it’s the truth.... if you control the media you do control the agenda..... It’s not what we do see as much as that which isn’t allowed to be aired by those choosing the topics, politicians and such they determine to air.

That would mean the money behind networks and who owns them.

I think Obam got all fired up over his Holiday away....there's no telling who he met with, spoke with etc...but you can be sure even prior he's been setting things up to go full bore on Executive Privilege.....

.....regardless of what the Supreme Court determines I believe he'll plow right through just the same....he's already “tested” this and nobody can stop him and his cronies....he knows this fully well. Until the people do more than march against him....which will wake up possibly the GOP...this guys going to march to his own drummer.

It is not so strange. When the federal government reserved forests from the action of the homestead laws, they decimated the tax base for rural forested communities. These isolated communities could not expand to support services and local individuals could not privately develop the natural resources and contribute to the local economy. A bad situation from the get go.

In the 1920s, Congress wisely recognized this and came up with a formula where a percentage of the profit from logging and grazing and other uses on the National Forest (U.S. Dept. of Ag) would go to forest counties for roads and schools.

When the northern spotted owl and associated old growth ecosystem flora and fauna was listed under the Endangered Species Act, harvest stopped and so did the revenue from logging on National Forests. The money comprised as much as half of forest county school and road budgets. There was a crisis. So Congress developed a replacement formula to bridge the gap until logging would once again be possible. Of course that never happened.

The easterners in Congress called it rural county welfare and have cut it dramatically, saying that counties needed to be weaned off. This was unrealistic since the basic structural issues of having up to 90% of a county removed from the tax roles remained.

In order to get more recent iterations passed, mid-west, southern and eastern counties had to be brought in to get the votes, even if they were never effected by the spotted owl.

The committee’s report released today, “A Less Secure Future for Rural Schools: An Investigation into the Obama Administration’s Questionable Application of the Sequester to the Secure Rural Schools Program,” detailed how last February the USDA had determined 2013 sequestration wouldn't’t apply to 2012 funds that had already been distributed in the program. The White House stepped in and overruled the USDA, though both agencies haven’t turned over numerous subpoenaed documents that could reveal more behind the decision.

This is hardly news for us. We already knew what they were doing as far as the sequester. First they tried to blame it on us and then they tried to make it hurt. All for political benefit as is everything they do.

Even down here we had signs saying "GOP open up the ENP" (Everglades Nat. Park.) Of course "they did all the closing" but our elite political strategists on the GOP side failed us one more time.

We have to learn that political strategy is not just words it wins hearts and minds and eventually elections. We should try it on our side some time.
