PRESIDENT OBAMA: So Congress is going to be busy, and I’m looking forward to working with Democrats and Republicans, House members and Senate members, to try to continue to advance the economic recovery and to provide additional ladders of opportunity for everybody. But one of the things that I’ll be emphasizing in this meeting is the fact that we are not just going to be waiting for a legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help that they need. I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone -- and I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball forward in helping to make sure our kids are getting the best education possible and making sure that our businesses are getting the kind of support and help they need to grow and advance to make sure that people are getting the skills that they need to get those jobs that our businesses are creating.
And I’ve got a phone that allows me to convene Americans from every walk of life -- non-profits, businesses, the private sector, universities -- to try to bring more and more Americans together around what I think is a unifying theme: making sure that this is a country where if you work hard, you can make it.

That is irrelevant. He can direct the myriad agencies and directorates to do something via EO and they will do it. This then affects everything: Health, Labor, Environment,Treasury, Interior, Justice, Commerce, Transportation, ad nauseum. Every aspect of our lives is affected.
The sycophants will just quietly rejoice as their dictator turns us into a communist state subservient to global consensus. Fascism is just too right wing, dontchaknow.

And how can he be concerned about an unstable Chief Justice and an iffy highest court that's giving him almost carte blanche right now.....
And most importantly, he's not afraid of the MSM because they are firmly in his back pocket and can be counted on to protect him no matter what marxist outrages he produces.
Obama is indeed in the catbird seat these days....and he knows it. That explains his cocky remarks today.

They have the effect of law and require a super majority of Both Houses to overturn, but you are correct, they are not laws, actually they are more like Constitutional Amendments.
The government can enforce any law, regulation or damnable scheme it wants to, because it has the power to do so, the law be damned.
