a Scrooge quote comes to mind........ Obama care will reduce the surplus parasitic journalist Population.

That would be the free lancers like Kirsten Powers that exist by mooching. They have money to pay accountants but not to pay for medicine.

America will be a better place if they just die from lack of medicine and frustration

Talk about slow realization... At least these creeps can read. Can you imagine how hard this will be for the marginally literate?

“The information in this article applies to everyone.”

Yes, it does. People should at least skip to the last page where the author makes the point that if he, who has the time and expertise to deal with things like this, couldn’t make it work, other folks must be having a much harder time.

The drug issue is a huge one, generally even a sick person might avoid going to the doctor - but if you don’t take your needed medicine you’re going to end up in the hospital.

Another thought comes to mind:

“A conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged by reality.”

They may not be there yet but they’re mad as hell and writing about it.

Sometimes they’re the only ones who can cut through the noise made by militant leftists; and through their experience with Obamacare, a few more conservatives could arise from the ashes.

That’s one hell of a long story,
but what I thought was key was they both supported Obamacare because they wanted to quit their jobs where they had insurance coverage and pursue new careers, and that having ACA Obamacare would give them the safety net to do it.

Then they tell the nightmare story that resulted,

I had to look twice at the writer’s name to figure it out. I admit to taking perverse pleasure in their pain. They wanted Obamacare - they got it.

What’s the saying, “a conservative is a liberal who’s gotten mugged”?

The writer may not be a conservative (yet), but he has certainly gotten mugged-courtesy of Obama.

So, this guy thinks it fair to expect an insurance company to issue a policy to “Miles”, despite the screwed up math. He want to pay premiums of $2952/ year AND get coverage for a medication that costs $5256/year. With Miles’ deductible of $1650 annually, the insurance company would still pay $3606 for the medicine, resulting in a net loss of over $600. After that, every single covered medical expense is a negative loss for the insurer.

We’re on the same page!

I wonder how many, who thought that Obamacare would be grand, might be thinking about voting for Ted Cruz (who tried to stop it) in 2016 — about kicking out Dems in 2014.

Three days into 2014, Miles took his Obamacare out for its maiden drive. His stop at the doctor went fine. At the pharmacy, it crashed. His medication — which has cost us a co-pay of between $10 and $30 under every other plan he’s had since 2004 including one under Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan — would not be covered. At all. That’s $438 out of pocket. Every month. And it won’t even go against the plan deductible.

Given that he's gay, what do you bet that said drug is Valtrex for herpes??? It's the preferred drug, and those with Type II genital herpes use buckets of it. If ZeroCare CMS let the provider take it off the list, this is a howler. If they offered a substitute, it'll probably be Zovirax, which is a lot cheaper.

In the "mean time," that means they both really "need it." Let's hope they stay that way for a good long while. It'll make those future "news" stories a heck of a lot more entertaining.

How many people have been prevented from pursuing careers that would make them more productive and passionate out of fear that a health calamity could ruin them?

I think more people are prevented from pursuing careers that would make them "more productive and passionate" out of fear of losing everything they have, and/or of being regulated out of existence by the government.

And hey, here's a news flash for you: MOST people DON'T get to do what they're "passionate" about, they do what there's a demand for, and what they can find someone to pay them for. And it isn't the government's right to make people pay others (through taxes) to do nothing, or to do something they wouldn't otherwise pay them to do.

Oh, wait, I forgot that I was reading a piece written by a socialist.

Stopped right there. I don't need to read anything from someone who lives and supports the homosexual agenda.

Next.

I was so wrapped up in people thinking the GOP is evil I didnt notice they were gay

Ditto. I missed it too. A prior poster noted that Steve's husband, along with being a worthless emasculated fop, likely has HIV.

Stories like this make me miss being a Republican ... unfettered power, the capability to control the weather, to control the global econmy, to make any AND every liberal utterly miserable ..... all at the push of a button or the flip of a switch. :-)

The depth of liberal stupidity is immeasurable. Maybe this true believer female will one day realize that she’s a useful idiot, but I doubt it. Your hope and change king doesn’t care about you, moron.
