Israel beefed up security for former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's funeral near the Gaza border on Monday and warned the enclave's Palestinian rulers not to allow rocket fire during the ceremony, which US Vice President Joe Biden will attend.

Ya know...
I remember a time not so long ago that this would be laughed at by anyone on the planet. The mere CONCEPT of telling an enemy not to fire rockets during a war...
The mere idea that the enemy would say “Oh. OK. We are at war with you and want you all dead but sure. We’ll abstain from that and suddenly respect you so you can bury a dead dude...Then we’ll get back to hating your drawing of breath and making you all dead dudes.”
Just F’ing insanity.
Hamas wouldn't dare cause trouble for their staunch ally Joe Biden.
Or would they?
And BTW, what idiot decided to make a grave for a hated enemy of the muzzies in rocket range?
Now we know why Biden was sent...
“...warned the enclave’s Palestinian rulers not to allow rocket fire during the ceremony, which US Vice President Joe Biden will attend.”
Damn, how the US could have been crippled with the loss of its designated bucket of warm spit!!!!!
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair to warm buckets of spit. They are the result of intensive effort. You try filling one. And they know when to shut up. Does Biden?
MUCH of Israel is actually “in rocket range.” Look it up. Maps abound. Those ragheaded crazies could “oops” a shot all the way into the West Bank from the Gaza Strip with their 40km rocket, and their 75km unit could strike as far away as Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem.
And that’s only talking about rockets coming from Gaza. An attack from Syrian or Lebanese territory could strike almost any northerly point that isn’t in range of the Gaza Strip.
Israelis don’t have too many places to hide; they’ve got to use every avenue of being proactive from military capability to street-level PR.
You are correct of course. I worded that poorly.
What I was thinking when I said that was their cellar made glorified bottle rockets that they usually fire in that don’t go far and usually (though not always) miss anything nut an open field.
I’m thinking if his gravesite is THAT close to the border, they better station an IDF unit there permanently since the incoming will be a daily thing. Too tempting a target to defile for them to NOT do their muzzie crap.
