The reason I asked is that I only worked about 30 years and get about $400.00 a month less than my ex,who worked about 50 years. (I took an 18 year vacation to raise 5 kids)

LOL - raising 5 kids is a lot of work... not exactly ‘a vacation’...
To your question - I followed a link some time back and was amazed how high the number was... but it’s been a while. If I find link I’ll ping you. Seems it was in the %1,000 to $1,200 range. I was curious after being in my local SS office and seeing that almost half or more of the people waiting looked like gang bangers in their late twenties.
