WASHINGTON, D.C. Bowing to a flurry of cost-cutting amendments on a bill extending unemployment benefits, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he will allow votes on reasonable reforms. But he didnt say when.
Reids shuffle comes after Republicans blasted the Nevada Democrat for unilaterally blocking amendments that could yield $70 billion in taxpayer savings.
I am not surprised that Senator Reid is backtracking, said David North. The immigration-law expert praised GOP Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., for her amendment to halt IRS child tax-credit refunds going to illegal immigrants.

She would need to run as a 'rat (as would Christie) to have ANY hope.

I am glad Kelly is fighting this fight, but she isn’t ready to be President.
Kelly Ayotte is a McCain puppet. She supports amnesty. She is a RINO and needs to be defeated.
How quickly you forget her transgressions against the 2nd Amend.
Joe Manchin deserves the credit for Harry’s disconfiture. He voted with the Republicans to allow amendments.
That is very extraordinary not only because members are severely punished for ‘mis-voting’ such procedural votes but because Manchin is a loyal minion of Harry’s who votes with him obligingly despite the wreakage Harry wroughts upon his constituency.
The RINOs found a clever choice in the tax credit for illegals to counter the Dems.
I am more inclined to support Kelly Ayotte for a private sector job when her six years care up.
Care = are. Stupid phone, or is that, stupid operator?
